Asphaltenes
exist in crude oil, stabilised by material termed resins. The
combined material behaves like a colloidal dispersion. Removal
of the resins by a physical or chemical means results in the
asphaltenes aggregating and precipitating from the crude. Therefore,
when considering asphaltene precipitation the key factor is
the association of the resins, since any route to precipitation
will involve their removal. |
The
most effective means of prevention is through chemical treatment.
Scomi
Anticor
supplies asphaltene dispersants specifically designed for each problematic
type of crude oil.
This range of asphaltene dispersants has proven its efficiency on
many oilfields throughout the world:
-
Formation
damages: removal by squeeze
- Asphaltene deposition
control in completions and surface facilities: treatment by
continuous
injection
- Emulsions stabilised
by asphaltenes: dual purpose demulsifier and asphaltene dispersant
specialities (see
SPE 030128)
Each
field conditions being specific, Scomi
Anticor
designs a dedicated formulation for your asphaltene control application.
Scomi
Anticor's
laboratories are at your disposal to carry out a study and propose a
dedicated solution on receipt of samples of crude oil and technical
questionnaire duly filled.
